Area Responsible. Features

The Head of department is responsible for managing the centers and Early Childhood Development (CDIAT) and Occupational Center (CO), as well as programs aimed at people with mental disabilities and / or sensory. Its main functions are:

  • Manage the processing of agreements, grants, subsidies, etc.
  • Manage administrative documents with various city departments (Secretariat, Intervention, Social Services, Personal, etc.).
  • Serve as link between workers of the Centers and parents or tutors.
  • Monitor the development of programming Centers previously planned, establishing the system of schedules, planning sessions and activities, coordination of treatments and workshops, etc.
  • Overseeing the different coordination with other centers and institutions, as well as designate the person(s) that must attend these coordination.
  • Propose and facilitate the creation of participation organs of all users and CO CDIAT.
  • Proper channel of correspondence, email and snail mail in and out of the Centres.
  • Planning with the responsible of the School / University Faculty, the practices of students in both centers, through coordination with Blue tutors practices.
  • Oversee the coordination meetings between workers of both centers.
  • Oversee the administrative tasks of the two Centers (admission of users, coordination among professionals, ...)
  • Facilitate implementation of the decisions taken democratically in the coordination meetings.
  • Providing models of documents and administrative procedures to channel applications and other staff of both centers with the City.
  • Coordinate actions with the Board of Governors of ASPADEM.
  • Record in the bodies of complaints and suggestions from users of both centers.
  • Supervising the registration of high, low and incidents of all materials and furnishings that have input or output in both centers.
  • Data Files responsibility of CDIAT and CO, based on the "Law of Protection of Personal Data" and the IRR of the two Centers.
  • Ensure compliance with the objectives set in each center and each of the areas and services.
  • Plan the preparation of reports, projects and other documentation requested by those institutions which have signed agreements, grants or agreements.
  • Oversee the annual report and planning of each of the Centres.
  • Propose programs of CO and CDIAT opening to events involving the participation of these regional events, national and international.

Services Center for Child Development and Primary Care (CDIAT)


The Center for Early Care and Rehabilitation is a specialized center, public and free, funded by the Department of Social Services City of Mazarrón, under the Convention between the Directorate General of People with Disabilities of the IMAS and our City Hall, where offer different services:

  • Assessment, diagnosis and treatment
  • Sensory-motor stimulation
  • Physiotherapy
  • Psychomotor
  • Language
  • Advice to parents
  • Family Care
  • Attention in education
  • Attention in health care
  • Case tracking
  • Guidance and advice
  • Transportation of children attending the center (in collaboration with ASPADEM)

These services are carried out mostly in the Center building, which opened on January 16, 1996 and, on two floors, comprises the following rooms:

  • Two Early Care and 14.57 m² 15.68 m² respectively
  • Two physiotherapy 29.14 m² and 15.99 m², respectively
  • Two Language Stimulation 23.80 m² and 14.91 m², respectively
  • One of Psychomotor of 35.25 m²
  • A Family Psychology 12.00 m²
  • An office for professional use of 12.80 m²
  • A room of 7.60 m² material
  • A file room of 10.00 m²
  • A waiting room and to the public from 19.98 m²
  • Toilets for users and staff of the Centre 25.60 m²
     

These services are carried out mostly in the Center building, which opened on January 16, 1996 and, on two floors, comprises the following divisions:

Primary Care Center has a total of 297.59 m² 280.38 m² of which are useful.

There is an annex building built in Central and municipally owned land where there is a heated pool that develops the hydrotherapy service, the holder is ASPADEM Association and its use is shared with other services authorized by the Association .
 

Vans to transport users to the Centre are the property of the Association ASPADEM, although the costs of normal wear and are the responsibility of the City (the drivers are permanent staff of the City and diesel is also used by the City Council.) Using them is also shared with other services authorized by ASPADEM.

Admission and Operation

 Steps to be followed by any user:
 

1.- Reception. Any person who wants access to the center may do so by filing an appropriate service request addressed to the Town Hall.

2.- Response to the request. Within five working days at most, counted from the date of registration of the application, by the CDIAT will contact (telephone or written) the applicant informing family:

  • If you'll be treated or not for this service, depending on CDIAT criteria such as age, issue, location, etc..
  • The order of their application in the waiting list with reference to the criteria set out in it for its formation.
  • The approximate date of appointment with the appropriate professional.

    No letter will be sent, if kept telephone contact to quote the family with the appropriate professional within seven working days.

 

3.- Personal interview. Appointment with the / the corresponding professional will meet the family for making personal, social and development of the child, and showing the reason for intervention to focus on coordination between areas or the specification of one of them, as the case.

4.- Screening and diagnosis. Eeste step will be performed via standardized tests, observation, etc., A review of the case and depending on the resolution will choose to perform:

  • Therapeutic intervention
  • Family intervention
  • Monitoring
  • Orientation
  • Baja
  • Derivation

5.- In case of agreeing a therapeutic intervention has to make an action plan that reflects the professional to intervene, the fields to be treated, the starting points.
6.- With the same purpose is a meeting of coordination between therapists and the director to establish the starting points, the treatments carry out the objectives to be achieved and the choice of guardian for the applicant, so as to elect the therapist who has more professional relationship as the difficulties presented by the applicant. Established in this sharing what is called an initial program.
7.- Then began the treatment phase of the child and family counseling, so that the two concepts interact with each other.
8.- The quarter is tracking a meeting in which therapists with the tutor present their views and reflections respect to the therapy applied, adaptation and development of children in this period of time. This will draw conclusions that then the coordinator or guardian shall notify parents or guardians of the CEIP (if enrolled) in another interview.
9.- Review. As a general rule revisions coincide with your date of birth, or the frequency agreed upon by professionals and the tutor.
10.- The floor is made when, after a review by the tutor and other therapists responsible for assistance under the floor of the same through a letter of notification which specifies the reason for it. Perhaps, if the case warrants it, given these circumstances:

 

  • Follow-up: summoned for further review without further treatment at the center.
  • Bypass will be referred to school, EEC Other: specific treatments, school unit.


The sick leave will be authorized by the director of CDIAT with the approval of the Councillor for Social Policy.
