DISTRICTS OF MAZARRON.

The small town of Ifre Marina, a summit situated next to the coast, is the tourist future of this zone. The majority of tourist developments - Bahía, Playa Grande, Bolnuevo and Playasol belong to Las Moreras. The greenest district is La Majada, with large orange and lemon plantations and with two important forest reserves - Las Crisolejas and Los Alamitos. In the south east of Mazarron you can find Las Balsicas which includes tourist zones ready for the immediate future. Los Lorentes, El Alamillo, El Mojón, etc.
Ifre- Pastrana, agricultural zone where tomatoes are grown in greenhouses. Gañuelas, the coldest part of the Mazarron area, with some citrus fruit plantations and other agricultural products. Algarrobo, zone of industrial development and gypsum exploitations. Los Rincones, a district dedicated to agriculture, for the main part in greenhouses.

Sierra, the least populated spot of the area of Mazarron where replanted mountains are its main wealth. Leiva, the most disperse district of the area, depends on its jurisdiction with Coto Fortuna, important forest reserve. El Mingano, which borders Cartagena and Fuente Álamo, an arid and mountainous agricultural zone. Cañadas del Romero, specialized in the production of cereals and almonds. El Saladillo, whose traditional activity is agriculture. They are currently building the first phase of what will be the macro development “Camposol”.
