The Town Hall of Mazarrón has launched a scheme to promote shopping locally in the days before and after Saint Valentine’s Day, under the slogan of “Compra con Corazón. Compra en Mazarrón”.

The promotion offers an incentive to local shoppers in the form of 12 prizes of 100 euros each to be spent in the businesses affiliated to the scheme, which lasts from February 6 to February 17. This initiative has been designed by the Town Hall in collaboration with the Asociación de Comercio, Hostelería y Servicios (ACOMA), and Councillor Silvia García explains that all terms and conditions are made clear (in Spanish) on this website.

In essence, once you have made a purchase of 10 euros or more at one of the participating stores you can enter your details on the site to spin the lottery wheel. Participation can also be in person, depositing the receipt with personal and contact details on the back in the boxes supplied at the Town Hall in Mazarrón and the tourist office in Puerto de Mazarrón.
