“TRES PENIQUES OPERA” OPENS THE CONCERTS CYCLE IN FAMILY OF THE ASSOCIATION “MAESTRO EUGENIO CALDERÓN”

The sports pavilion of IES Felipe II will receive on Saturday this concert from 8:30 pm

The Musical Association “Maestro Eugenio Calderón” will show, next Saturday 4th February, “Tres peniques Opera” (three pences opera). This musical tale for instrumental group and narrator  based in the show with the same title of  Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, with the music of “Suite for Wind Orchestra” from this last one and adapted text by Fernando Palacios, will be interpreted at half past eight in the afternnon in sports pavilion of I.E.S. “Felipe II” de Mazarrón.

This is the first concert of a cycle that, under the motto " Concerts in family: Musical Tales suitable for everyone", the “Maestro Eugenio Calderón” Musical Association has arranged for this year. The shows that integrate the cycle are “Ttres peniques opera”, “Peer Gynt” and “ Around the world in 80 days". All of them populary Known and very beautiful composition.

They are three musical tales in which they alternate musical pieces with narrative or theatre. The objective is to bring closer the music to the young poeple and allow that all the family can enjoy the live music making the concerts more pleasant for the children. The Musical Association has for this activity the collaboration of Mazarrón´s Town Hall  and one of schools of the town.

The instrumental set will be formed by musicians of “Maestro Eugenio Calderón” Musical Association - with piano collaborations , guitar and bass guitar- managed by  Alejandro Castañeda Martínez. The narrator, Juan Pedro Navarro Martínez, belongs to the theatre group of I.E.S. “Domingo Valdivieso” of Mazarrón, while Juan A. García Ortiz will interpret  “Balada de Macki-Navaja”, the piece most popular of the show.
