THE TOWN HALL SAVES 7 MILLION EUROS IN ONE YEAR AND A HALF

The government team gets it keeping the services and increasing or creating new economic items

The government team of the Town Hall of Mazarrón has reduced the debt of the  municipal coffers in 6.935.000 euros in one year and a half. It was made public this afternoon by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who has offered this information together with the spokesman of the Grupo Municipal Socialista, Francisco García, and the spokesman of Grupo Municipal de IU, David Fernández. The first council, of Unión Independiente de Mazarrón, has highlighted  that “this reduction has been got, not only keeping the services and  saving the jobs in the town hall, also encouraging some areas”.

Ginés Campillo has explained that “also we have reduced a credit of 3,5 millones to 2,5 millones in 2012 and the prevision is to  reduce it others 500.000 euros this year” and has reminded that “also has been reduced in half million euros the credit of the new municipal company of waste”. So, “we can say that we have carried out a serious and firm management of the economic resources of the Town Hall that we will continue making to reduce the debt,  and at the same time we maintain all these bettings and commitments that we have started”.

In this way, the Mayor has reminded the great number of actions undertaken like the purchase of 220 recycling  containers and a lorry of collection that will be presented soon, the reparation of the bridge of Camposol, the asphalted of rural roads, the handing –for first time - of municipal grants to the students of  Secondary school that are going to extend to Primary school, the agreements with ASPADEM or Cáritas de Mazarrón and Puerto; the citizen awareness campaings about Environment, the new vehicles of the Local Police, the extension of the lifeguard services on the beaches, or the  180 organic containers that helped to intensify the sommer season, among other initiatives related, much of them, in the celebration of the 440 Anniversary of the Independence of the Villa in 2012.

All this in addition “without the help of grants that before got by the Autonomous Community and that now are almost null” has pointed out the spokesman of Grupo Municipal Socialista and Deputy Mayor of Town Planning, Francisco García. He has reminded that “also we have to cope to the adjustments of the plans that imposes the Spain Government and that aggravate, even more, the difficult situation that local administrations have”. For Francisco García, “it is a economic managment very worthy  which we are carring out and a great effort for, not only to keep, but also to increase the items such as the social support, so important in this moment and which will be strengthened in the current year”.

On the other hand the spokesman of IU and delegate of Citizen Participacion, Environment, Trasport, Trade and Consumption, David Fernández, has made balance of how was the employment last year in Mazarrón. With no positive data, as happens in the rest of Spain, “we have had some rates of destruction of employment under the regional  average thanks to the businessmen, traders, hoteliers  and citizens that have workd very hard raising their blinds and betting in this way by the employment in  Mazarrón”. In fact, the number of destuction of employment of the last year was in Mazarrón of 2,84% face the increase of 10,59% of the regional average.
