THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE MUNICIPAL PADRON IN CAMPOSOL WILL BE RENDERED THE SECOND AND LAST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH

It is expected that through the new service enroll around 1.000 more people in the municipal padron

The office for Foreign Residents of Camposol, located in the Social Centre on B Sector of the urbanization, started last Friday to render the service of municipal padron. This new service was presented by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the councilor for Foreign Residents, José Gómez, and the district Mayor of El Saladillo, José Andrés Navarro, who in person checked how the service has started to operate.

The councilor for Statistics, Matilde Blázquez, has said that “after talking to the potential users of the office, finally we decided to give this service every second and last Friday of each month”. The council has added that “the citizens residents in Camposol can come from 10 to 12 hours to this office to enroll in the padron, confirm the residence, update their data or clarify doubts about the municipal padron and electoral roll”, said Ginés Campillo. For this, a public servant from the Statistics department will come these days to the Office for Foreign Residents of Camposol, where the residents will receive help in English and Spanish, thanks to the presence of a translator.

The councilor for Foreign Residents, José Gómez, explained that “in Camposol there are enrolled around 6.000 population, but the real population could be around 9.000 people. With this new service, we expect that enroll around 1.000 more people”. At the end of 2012, the census of the district of El Saladillo (to which belongs Camposol) rose to 5.801 people, while the current number has risen to 5.894 enrolled people.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has highlighted that “with this service we continue our commitment to normalize the situation of Camposol. A urbanization that until our arrival at the front of the Town Hall was abandoned in different ways, being our goal to sort out the problems that arise to provide an optimal service”.

The first councilor has also added that “it is very positive for the town that be enrolled the greatest number of people, as it is fundamental to have the most possible realistic data about the town to request support or rights to receive according with the population”. In fact, the rise of population so far in 2013 has not only affected to El Saladillo, also it has been reflected in the total of population of the town which was 35.912 at the end of 2012 and 36.356 nowadays.
