After almost a month of inclement weather the conditions were perfect at the weekend for the Spanish national Flyski championships in Puerto de Mazarrón, and an international flavour was added by the inclusion of Polish champions in an “Open” competition.

Saturday morning’s action consisted of the qualifying rounds before the afternoon saw various “head to head” battles. The main semi-finals and finals were held on Sunday, one of the major surprises being the bronze medal won by local girl María López.

The winners in the various competition categories were, in the women’s division, Clara Muñoz, Elena Vera and María López, while in the men’s groups the champions were Quique Soriano, Alberto Leceta and Dani Iborra.
