The council  of Sports of the Town Hall of Mazarrón still committed to diversify the commissioning of all kind of activities in the town with occasion of the celebration of the 440 Anniversary  of the concession of  Privilege of Villa and, in this line, has been set for the next Saturday 18th  August the I National Canine Contest that will take place from  18:30 h. in the square of the Autonomous Communities  of the beach promenade of Puerto de Mazarrón. The championship is organized by the Canine Society of Murcia and in it collaborate, beside the Town Hall, the Royal Canine Society of Spain.

The council of Sports, Andrés Valera, has explained that  “we have opted for this initiative because we believe that can be an added attractive for the tourism in our town  and with the objective to perpetuate in time”. This contest, scoring for the championship of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, will have “ exhibitions of breed dogs in 10 different categories  as pasturage,  companion dog, greyhounds or  of work, and so on”, as has explained the president of the  Canine Society of Murcia, Alfonso Castells.

4 judges of national gategory will be the responsible to check the dogs, making a selection which will result the election of the best puppy, the best young  and the best adult. There are registered more than fifty and the term to participate is still opened in the web site  www.caninamurcia.es. Also can be registered those who want to compete  until one hour before of the beginning of the championship in the square of the Autonomous Communities.

Alfonso Castells has thanked the support od the town hall of  Mazarrón to carry out this initiative “with which we want to achieve a large number of people, thanks to the concentration of tourist in these days of summer and of otherwise would be  very difficult to promote us”. Valera and Castells have  encouraged to the citizens that love the animals to come to the contest  “because can enjoy of a nice show, new because it has not been seen before in the town and where can be seen dogs of purebred admirable”.
