“MAZARRÓN MAR Y MÁS” FLY ON BOARD “EASY JET”

The Town Hall promotes a new campaign of tourist promotion of Mazarrón in the publication of the airline company

The council of Tourism of the Town Hall of Mazarrón has undertaken an important campaing of tourist promotion that flies on board the planes of the airline company “Easy Jet”. This campaing has been presented by the Mayor, Ginés Campillo, the council of Tourism, María Celeste Soria, and the Account Manager of “Easy Jet”, Germán Marín, who came expressly to Mazarrón to make the presentation  and have a meeting with the different businessmen of the town who also were interested in this kind of promotion.

Under the new motto “Mazarrón Mar y Más”, the campaing has appeared in the magazines of March, April and May of the airline company with images that have showed from the beaches of the town until its seabeds, also its monuments and historical and cultural spaces, archaeological sites and also its services. As stated María Celeste Soria, “the publication is potentially seen by 6,3 million of travelers in the 183 planes that has the airline company, which covers 634 routes between 34 countriesof Europe and North Africa”. Among them, include the16 destinations of San Javier and Alicante with Great Britain.

Germán Marín of “Easy Jet” explained that  “the Town Hall of Mazarrón has been able to focus this campaign of tourist promotion, making a design very elaborated and of high quality that has given as result that in the promotion have place the beaches, the gastronomy, the culture, the services, the arqueology and everything that Mazarrón offers and that is much”. Also, Marín highlighted that “it is a success to make this kind of initiatives because they are addressed to a potential client that is already traveling and that, therefore, has economical viability to do it again or to include to Mazarrón in the route of travel”.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, wanted to highlight that “with the motto`Mazarrón Mar y Más´, we give one more step in the enhancement and tourist promotion of our town. We want that all the cultural, archaeological, natural and social heritage that Mazarrón has, be true motors of the tourist activity. That they don´t be simple potential added to our great beaches, but an essential part of the town as also should be the traditions, the services or the gastronomy”. Hence, the importance and the interest of the town hall to promote the tourist quality of its services and among the businessmen, as for example with the project “SICTED” (System of Implementation of the Quality Tourist in Destinations).

For the council, “this campaign of promotion is an intelligent  way to get where we didn´t reach before and much more effective that the usual way that has been done until now. As the tourist agents today highlight, to focus the actions in right proposals is more effective, as they get to a sector of potential tourists that look for a concrete product or activity face the massive quantity of general proposals that are lose in the immensity to not differentiate themselves”.
