June 4 national dog show in Puerto de Mazarron

The event in Mazarrón attracts competitors from all over Spain and features various breeds native to this country

The 10th edition of the annual national dog show in Puerto de Mazarrón is being held on Saturday June 4 in the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas, alongside the tourist office, with events and competitions beginning at 18.00.

With points at stake for the Region of Murcia championship the dogs taking part belong to Spanish breeds and many have competed in national and even international events. Vets will be supervising proceedings throughout, and members of the public are welcome, all the more so as Covid restrictions are now minimal and such competitions can resume a more “normal” format.

The judges at this year’s competition are travelling to the Costa Cálida from Barcelona, Alicante and Granada, and one of them has experience at international competitions, while competitors (and their owners) are coming from as far afield as the provinces of Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, Albacete, Almería, Granada and Jaén as well as all over the Region of Murcia.
