CAMPOSOL FIESTA HIGHLIGHTED FOR ITS SUCCESS OF PARTICIPATION AND ORGANIZATION

The musical performances, a giant paella and the concentration of classic vehicles delighted the attendees

It was magnificent, exceptional, and a fantastic success, enjoyed by an incredibly large number of residents, visitors, friends and holidaymakers.

The 3-day Camposol FIESTA was ably organised by a great team of Volunteers, expertly guided by Sue Tinkler. The venue for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening performances was the large car park opposite the garage in Sector B, where a few days earlier the Town Hall delivered 5 large cabins, an enormous stage, 125 tables and 500 chairs, as well as two toilets, 2 large generators, and a great sound and light system, not forgetting over 30 barriers provided by our Policía Local.

The Fiesta started at 7pm on Friday 23rd and was opened by the Mayor of Mazarrón Gaspar Miras Lorente, who was accompanied by the councilor of Festejos, Miguel Ángel Peña, the councilor of Camposol and International Relations, Silvana Buxton, and the councilors of the Local Council, Plácida Gómez, Raquel Raja and Conchi Aparicio. During that late-night, and the next two, fabulous music groups were enjoyed to please the young and the young-at-heart, whilst food and drink were being served by some of the local bars and restaurants.

More entertainment was provided during the day-time on Saturday and Sunday, to include a giant paella to keep the hunger pangs at bay while the little one enjoyed the typically British donkey rides and other fun games, and the adults recalled happy memories viewing the classic cars and bikes show on Sunday.

A very successful 3-day FIESTA came to a close on Sunday evening with the raffle draw of 18 beautiful prizes kindly donated by the local businesses and a message of thanks from Sue, to the Councillor for Fiestas Miguel Ängel Peña Martínez, to the local Council for their exceptional support, and to all who contributed to making the CAMPOSOL FIESTA such a great success.
