AN EXHIBITION OF BLAS MIRAS TO FEEL “LIKE FISH OUT OF WATER”

The artist from Mazarrón will make a guided visit in the exhibition this Friday from 4pm to 8pm.

Casas Consistoriales of Mazarrón receives until next  20th September an exhibition of the artist from Mazarrón Blas Miras called “Like fish out of water” in which the author shows his artistic quality with works result of a forged  career based in constancy. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the councilor for Culture, María Celeste Soria, and the author who was accompanied for his family, friends and other authorities as the councilor for Town Planning and Infrastructure, Francisco García.

The exhibition has 12 sculptures, 11 paintings and  3 pictures, these last one belong to his previous exhibiiton “El ombligo de la Luna”. In fact, and as explained Blas Miras, “in that exhibition appeared some fish that were gaining prominence and with the moon, that represents the dreams, compose an iconography that accompanies me for years next to the stars and stairs that are the base of this exhibition”. The artist concreted that “the fishes are everybody and at the end they meet with some teenager  that spoil them”. No doubt, works that, with these data, can be very significant for the lover of the good art.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, congratulated to the artist from Mazarrón “for this great exhibition, then in summer we keep a date for an important and quality exhibition. Last year was Pedro Cano and this year we are proud that is a local artist who has had the courtesy  of showing for first time this original exhibition”. The first councilor invited  “to the neighbors and the tourists that visit us these weeks, to enjoy with the work of  Blas Miras that presents an extraoirdinary maturity”.

The exhibition can be visited in the building of Casas Consistoriales located in Mazarrón Town Hall´s square from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 2pm and Thursday and Friday from 6pm to 9pm. It will be closed on 15th and  31st August, for national festivity and last Saturday of the month. But also, those that want to know more about what the artist has wanted to express in this work, Blas Mira will carry out a guided tour through the exhibition, that will finish with a signature  of catalogs by the author, this Friday 16th August at 8pm, being the activity and also the entry to the exhibition totally free.
